No longer committed, I no longer enter my father's house.
I listen to the silence between us become the breaths between rosary beads; and the prayers- open anger
let loose before God; my God! my father is almost fifty and our words last year were less.

O, Disaster! You came early through me; left heavy on the ground, my eyes could only cry. And my nostrils- nothing but dirt, breathed dirt.

9:39 pm - to be workshopped!
|
I pick up the thin paper in my hands, use my tongue to seal it…
Joe takes long breaths when sucking in; the end lighting up bright red and orange, and burning down, letting go of gray and ash.
My fingers are still sticky from breaking up the plant and I have trouble letting go of anything.

The other night Joe and I saw Heavyweights at midnight. I lovvvve that movie, aside from Cool Runnings I'd say it's my fav. I have not been to midnight move yet so that was fun.
Soon I am going to write long long long entries every single day. This will help me write and make me feel like I have a life. Lately I just read peoples' journals that I do not even know and just wish I were doing SOMETHING. I had the day off today and I bought fruit and made MORE cinnamon buns and some focaccia bread. I meant to do my laundry, but Joe went to work with the card. I did steal the vacuum cleaner from work and used it in the apartment though. It's so nice.
I check craigslist everyday for a new house, and so far, no luck. It is hard to find (in my price range): a big kitchen, garden, at least one bedroom, and a bathtub all in the same general area. I mostly want my dream house to be located in Felton, but I also just signed up for an 8am class, which will make commuting hard.
The other day at work a lady complimented the music in the store. I told her what it was (feist!) and how I get to listen to my own music and how HAPPY that makes me. She was so excited and nice and agreed with me that it is 100x better than listening to "MUSAK" for seven hours.
Joe is home with bubblegum!
***edit, the cinnamon buns are the best I've ever tasted, and the bubblegum is the best I've ever smoked***

People are tricky with their words. It is hard to explain that "yes I know life, yes I am american" it is even harder to explain that there is no where I could go to be happy unless I were an animal. It is hard looking at life and not living it.

Tonight I baked homemade cinnemon rolls and homemade pizza with homemade dough. It almost drove me broke but that's okay they both are amazing. Last night I finished Ken Kesey's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest which was the most hilarious and saddest story I have ever read. It is also the greatest, so far. Soon I want to see the movie. I can trick anyone into thinking I have seen it before, just by saying "Yes, Classic Jack Nicholson!".

The other day I went shopping at the mall which hasn't happened in a long time/only happens when I meet up with my mom in the city. I got 2 pairs of jeans and a sweatshirt all for seventy dollars. That was the first time all summer I spent a lot of money on myself and not: rent, water, garbage, pge, comcast or weed. It felt damn good, but now I can think of nothing else to do other than "shop!". It is Sunday today and that means Salvation Army is closed.
Next weekend I am going to be working at the Summer of Love festival in San Francisco. If you are in the haight-ashbery area, come see me! I'll sell you cute things for five bucks. I will also be shopping on that day, of course.
I can't wait for school to start! I will still be working on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Leaving me with ONE day off in the week. I am worried about when I will do papers. I am going to be a very busy girl!
Last night, I looked at my laptop and got really upset and just said to myself "I don't want to write anymore". WHICH is strange to think about because if that is NOT what I want to do I better think of a new major and study plan for the next two years..
